Bill was born to Percy and Jean Clarke on August 13, 1935 and raised in Dinsmore, SK. He married Ruby Warren in 1958 and they celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on May 17, 2021.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Ruby and their three children; daughter, Dolores Barrett; granddaughter, Angie (Stewart) Ferguson, great-granddaughter, Portia, great-grandson, Riley, great-grandson, Brandon; granddaughter, Michelle Barrett; granddaughter, Brianna (Kyle) Patterson, great-grandsons, Jaxon and Grayson; son, Dean (Donna) Clarke, grandson, Brendan and granddaughter, Shae; son, Alan Clarke, grandson, Colton; sister, Doreen Berisoff; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law on Ruby’s side and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents; four brothers and sisters-in-law and son-in-law, Mark Barrett.
Bill was a Saskatoon City Firefighter for 40 years before retiring and moving from Saskatoon to Oliver. He loved and enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s activities no matter where they were. When Bill and Ruby moved to Oliver, they became involved with the flea market where they spent every weekend for many years, meeting and making new friends from far and wide.
One of Bill’s last requests was that all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren come for a visit to Oliver. They were the joy of his life and had a great visit in late August.
At Bill’s request there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted towards his granddaughter, Shae’s illness for which most of her medications are not funded. Please forward these donations to Ruby in Bill’s memory.
He will be extremely missed and is loved by all who knew him.
