Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Ellen at the Kelowna General Hospital.
She was born in Finland and then as a young girl, went to Kenya with her family. She spent about twelve years growing up there. Ellen also lived in Australia for a few years.
Her last twenty two years was spent in Peachland. Ellen truly loved living there.
She had many wonderful and caring friends.
The past twelve years she was legally blind and she was a familiar sight walking in Peachland with her white cane.
Pre-deceased by her parents Vieno and Paavo Kusmin. Survived by brothers Walter (Lorie) and Vesa (Sirpa), three nieces and one nephew in Canada, and many relatives and dear friends in Finland and Canada.
She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Rest in Peace dear Ellen.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Peachland Little Schoolhouse, 1898 Brandon Lane, Peachland, BC, V0H 1X6.
