PATRICK FRANKLIN (PAT) MCKAY, of REVELSTOKE, BC, passed away on November 1, 2023, in Kelowna BC surrounded by his loving family.
Pat was born January 3, 1941, in Revelstoke, BC, and is survived by his wife, Eleanor (Roberts), his daughters Joan (Clare) Boyko, Tammy (Bill) Lafont, Beverly (Ken) Morris, Wendy (Andy) Clarke, and son Roger McKay. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Alesha (Richard) Meinen and their children Rebekka & Alexander, Kimberley (Erik) Boyko-Lustig and their daughter Linnea, James (Sheena) Dunn and their children William, Jada, & Colton, Justin (Lucy) Morris and their children Victoria & Lucas, Tikka-Mae Waller & her son Dante, Stacey Morris, Stephon McKay, Deanna Morris, Jessie Clarke, Nicalus Lafont, & Miranda Lafont. He is also survived by his brothers Jack (Edith) McKay & Nathaniel McKay, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, Jack & Dorothy (Mason) McKay, and his brothers James McKay, Shane McKay, and Shay McKay, daughter Betty and great-grandson Ethan Meinen.
Pat lived and worked in the Revelstoke area, logging, mining, and long-haul trucking. He loved fishing, travelling, telling jokes, and making memories with his family. He is fondly remembered by his friends and family for his big smile and quickness to laugh.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 10th, 2023, starting at 2:00 pm at the Revelstoke Community Centre.
