Charlotte was born in Empress, Alberta, Dec 3rd, 1949, the first-born child to parents, George and Tillie Wingenbach. Charlotte passed away in Kelowna General Hospital June 24th, 2023, at the age of 73, after a short illness. Charlotte was predeceased by the love of her life, husband Ernest “Vince” Vincent in 1994, and her parents George 2001, Tillie 2012. She is survived by her brother Ken (Elaine) and Sister Lucille, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Charlotte spent her early years in Empress. Throughout her adult life Charlotte lived and worked in various places, Medicine Hat, Calgary, Comox, Oromocto, Germany, where they traveled extensively in Europe. Returning to Canada they resided in Trenton. In 1997 Charlotte returned to Empress to assist her parents and for many years was the “Library Lady”. In 2014 Charlotte relocated to West Kelowna and in 2018 moved to Kelowna.
Charlotte enjoyed reading, was an avid sports fan and was in regular contact with friends and family, often to discuss the latest sporting event. As everyone can attest Charlotte loved to visit on the phone. Charlotte was Blessed with deep faith, and a devotion to prayer. Deacon Rod was a valued and devoted friend and was with her when she passed.
Interment will take place at the Empress cemetery in September.
